General objective:

Develop protocols and management applied to a Mars habitat.

 

Presentation

The 50th virtual mission organized by space analog station Habitat Marte started September 11th and finished September 26th 2020. The 50th edition presented the participants: professor Julio Rezende (Brazil), Davi Souza (Brazil), Rashika Babu (India), Riyabrata Mondal (Germany), Federico Granados Unger (Mexico), Ramy Zien (Egypt), Bernarda Sanjines (Bolivia), Sara Campos (Brazil) and Leticia Van Der Ploeg (Brazil). The goal of the mission was develop new protocols and management methodologies proposed to a future Mars habitat. During the mission was collected soil samples in Cabugi Volcano (Rio Grande do Norte State – Brazil). Will be developed agricultural research in this soil trying to identify possible crops to be cultivated in Mars. Also happened an interview to a Brazilian TV. In this commemorative edition the crew released important research contribution to Mars exploration.

 

Activities developed during the mission:

- Interview with Brazilian TV;

- Live from Habitat Marte and presentations of all facilities operations;

- Extravehicular Activity (EVA) in Cabugi volcano (Rio Grande do Norte State – Brazil);

- Presentations about facilities of a future Mars space habitat.
