Final meeting.
Two main delivers of Habitat Marte: promote STEM and agriculture. Also during the time of social isolation from COVID-19 pandemics, We can see a social movement during COVID-19 social isolation time in Twitter: a lot of people interested in space are also developing food crops, in many times in apartments and small areas in the houses.
One difficult decision related to the Mars habitat: proximity of water reservoir (polar areas) versus feasible temperature.
About the launch / landing centre is necessary identify a location with proximity from the water reservoir to produce oxygen and propellants. The location would be located from a safer distance to the main station but at the same time presenting the easiness of cargo and passengers transportation.
About the sanitation centre it is important develop protocols of hygiene and the possibility to produce fertilizers. It is possible see a great integration with the greenhouse facility with circular cycles between these two facilities. It is important the sanitation centre resent guidelines about waste discard and recycling.
During the mission was presented great interest in technologies aboard of Perseverance rover, in special the MOXIE technology, a very useful technology to generate water and oxygen that would be used in future settlements in Mars.
During the last two day was followed up the capsule Endeavour undocking from International Space Station – ISS with astronauts Bob Behnken and Doug Hurley and also the SpaceX capsule splashdown close to Pensacola (Florida) in Atlantic Ocean.
Because of the two important space events, Perseverance rover launching and Space X capsule return and splashdown, the mission 46 was historical and unique.
All presentations were recorded and released in Youtube channel and also shared in Twitter and Facebook. Was prepared an abstract to 23rd Annual International Mars Society Convention about the operation of the Powerstation.
