Since our planet is in social isolation, why not transform this experience and imagine ourselves as an astronaut in a space station?
The period of social isolation can be understood as a time when people are more interested to collaborate, despite the isolation regime. It is a time of innovation and adaptation.
This coronavirus period has challenged the space research and simulation station HABITAT MARTE to imagine innovations in the field of space education, with emphasis on virtual and hybrid missions.
Habitat Marte invites you to participate in the first mission with an international call on the theme: SUSTAINABILITY IN SPACE HABITATS
The mission is interesting to know more on operational and research activities related to management of habitats, food production, sanitation (water supply, sewage and waste), energy and education.
The mission will start at 18:00 GMT on April 24, 2020 (Friday) and conclude at the same time on Sunday, for 48 hours.
Candidates must demonstrate research proposals or interest in discussing the topic.
The discussions during the 36th mission will contribute to the elaboration of works to be sent to 2 events:
- International Conference on Sustainable Development 2020 - www.ic-sd.org - September 21 and 22, 2020.
and
- 23rd Annual International Mars Society Convention - October 15-18, 2020. More information at: https://www.marssociety.org/conventions/2020/
